In return for your kindness, the prisoner hands over a key to a treasure chest that he claims contains magical items he was attempting to steal when he was caught. Convince the nearby guard to give up his food (or pay him for it), and then hand it over to the prisoner. Agree to do this (if you want), and speak to the guard nearby. Regardless of if he's telling the truth or not, he's clear on one point - he's extremely hungry. When you speak with him, you'll learn that he's been imprisoned for desertion, though he claims he wasn't deserting at the time. At location A on the map provided, you'll find a nameless prisoner. ![]() Unfortunately, you won't be able to finish the side quest off until you fulfill Duncan's two requests, which will send you out into the Korcari Wilds. You can (and should) undertake this side quest as soon as you arrive in Ostagar. ![]()
